Alain Gerber

Alain Gerber obtained his osteopathic diploma in 1996 from the EOG (École d’Ostéopathie-Genève) and his CDS diploma in 2010. Since 1996, he has been practising as an independent osteopath in his own practice in Geneva, then as part of the Osteo 7/7 service.

As a member of the professional association Ostéopathie Structurelle (OS), Alain actively participates in the whole process of recognition of the osteopathic profession at the Geneva and federal levels. He is also involved in the creation of the Swiss Federation of Osteopaths (FSO).
In 2006 he organised, with his colleague Jean Ricou, a course in medical semiology adapted to osteopathic practice and created a wiki semiosteo.ch. Additionally, he provided instruction in this area at the IFSO Rennes School of Osteopathy and in Switzerland as part of osteopaths’ ongoing education.

Alain’s professional experience has been enriched by the diversity of patients he has seen over the course of his 30 years of practice and by his participation in numerous continuing education courses. His areas of expertise range from infants to adults.
As a referring practitioner, Alain is involved in the training of Heds-Fribourg students during their master’s degree, and he also supervises young practitioners within the clinic.
