Proctology day
This Monday was an enriching day at the congress on pelvi-perineology, sexuality and oncology offered by the HUG for part of the Osteo 7/7 team, Laure-Isabelle Kazemi, Messeiller Marjorie, Aurelie NEYROUD, Fanny Meyer, Julie Deschamps, Francesca Marchesini.
The welcome was warm, with an inspiring introduction by Dr. Amram Marie-Laure and Professor Frederic Ris who set the tone for a captivating day!
The sessions on sacral neuromodulation were particularly fascinating, covering varied topics such as defecation disorders, urinary incontinence and pain management. Experts, such as Professor Bruno Roche, Dr. Joan Robert-Yap, Dr. E.Liot, shared their practical experience in neuromodulation, which sparked many reflections.
We explored intimate and essential subjects, such as sexuality and gynecology. Abdulcadir Jasmine’s powerful presentation on the clitoris was a revelation, as was Dr. Guillaume Meurette!
The afternoon was dedicated to oncology, with enlightening interventions on prostate and breast cancer. The discussions were rich and promising, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between oncologists and surgeons.
The last part of the day dealt with psycho-oncology and supportive care. Dr. Mapi Fleury Fleury captivated the audience with advice on the use of natural aphrodisiacs to stimulate libido, while Mylène Bolmont highlighted the importance of psycho-sexological monitoring in cancer situations.
The closing remarks by Dr Marie-Laure Amram and Professor Frédéric Ris closed this day full of information. Finally, Professor Francesco Bianchi de Micheli and Mr. Thomas Dieuleveut addressed the myth of the sexologist, adding a final touch to this exciting day.
In short, this day was a real source of inspiration and knowledge sharing! We can’t wait to discover the 2026 program!
